The Impact of a Mathematics Bridging Intervention on the Inclusivity of a University Economics Programme

The inclusivity of all students in the University Economics programme is danger due to a high failure rate first-year mathematics course. This study investigates whether participation bridging course, and what aspects it, can contribute equal opportunities increased Mathematics for Economists henceforth reduce rate. It adds meager European literature on remedial course effectiveness. Through use ordinary least square regression analyses, significant positive effect was found student group as whole. Furthermore, results indicated that particularly valuable mathematically prepared students.
